NewsWelcome to the website of the Department of Plastic Surgery, Peking University Third Hospital! The Department of Plastic Surgery, Peking University Third Hospital (PkU3H) has a proud history: it came into existence along with P.R.China in 1949 and is an earliest professional department on plastic surgery in P.R.China; Professor Zhu Hongyin, Wang Damei and Kong Fanhu are praised as plastic surgery masters and founders in the field of Chinese plastic surgery who have made their huge contribution to the development of Chinese plastic surgery. Thanks to their leading and efforts, this Department of Plastic Surgery has a very high reputation and comprehensive influence in the field both at home and abroad. The department has a powerful team, for it has 7 specialists and professors, 9 associate professors and 4 visiting doctors among who there are 4 doctor tutors, 9 master tutors, 10 people that have a experience of studying abroad, 4 editors in chief or editorial board members of domestic and foreign professional journals on the plastic and cosmetic surgery .It also has many national members or standing members of professional societies in various level; 10 doctors are engaged in the specialists of the malpractic evaluation committee in different level of the state. As a domestically well-known clinic and teaching center, it not only has been taking on the mission of educating undergraduates of the Medicine Faculty of Peking University, but has cultivated about 20 masters , 18 doctors and 3 post doctors. In addition, it is also the nationwide plastic and cosmetic surgical training base named by the Ministry of Public Health of China and it has been training about a thousand plastic surgeons from all parts of the country and most of them are local academic pacemakers.
